Hi, it's time for the final closing speech(spoilerAlert:I'm not that great at speeches(to say the least). What should definitely be said is that such studying pattern was something I've never tried before — which is a good thing as taking up new activities and trying new things decreases your chances to get Alzheimer's(and so does learning foreign languages). (100%true fact)
Trying to actually post stuff in a blog turned out to be not as simple as it might seem(sometimes words don't come easy). Also there were times when I would think "wow why am I stressing out nobody will read it anyway". Was I entirely wrong about that? I guess not. I guess that's what self-study is all about. So, no regrets for this experience!
Let's move on to my groupmates' blogs. What I appreciate the most in a blog is honesty, informativeness and a nice design. So, Natasha and Nastya get the first award here.

seminar X. mobile applications

Hey! As the semester comes to its end, this post is the last one. It's clearly been an exciting journey, I've learned a lot of new stuff and as a conclusion I would say that there are endless possibilities to improve your English and to help others progress. All you need is the desire to grow ¯\_( ͡❛ ▿ ͡❛)_/¯ Today's post will be about mobile applications in language learning. Mobile learning, also known as m-learning, is a new way to access learning content using mobiles. Mobile learning supports, with the help of mobile devices, continuous access to the learning process. This can be done using devices like your phone, laptop or tablet.

seminar IX. moocs

A massive open online course is an online course aimed at unlimited participation and open access via the web. In addition to traditional course materials, such as filmed lectures, readings, and problem sets, many MOOCs provide interactive courses with user forums to support community interactions among students, professors, and teaching assistants (TAs), as well as immediate feedback to quick quizzes and assignments. MOOCs are a recent and widely researched development in distance education, first introduced in 2006 and emerged as a popular mode of learning in 2012.

seminar VIII. wiki services

Wiki is a web technology used for collaborative publishing on the web. Wiki is a type of server software that allows you to work with data on a remote server on the Web. Users interact with the software through a web interface that lets them read, edit and publish content. At the user's level, a wiki is a website with an “Edit” button. Clicking the “Edit” button allows you to edit the current page and save it for other Internet users to see. Like any other website, it is accessed through a website address, also known as URL which can be bookmarked and shared.

seminar VII. survey services

Online surveys are a great way to engage your audience and get feedback from them. You can use online surveys in any number of ways. Making an online survey is easy – there are many great online survey creators out there to help you craft a survey. Surveys are powerful research tools that can provide compelling information to make education program improvements, inform district planning, and more.

seminar V. bookmarks

Bookmarking services allow users to add, annotate, edit, and share bookmarks of web documents. In a social bookmarking system, users save links to web pages that they want to remember and/or share. These bookmarks are usually public, and can be saved privately, shared only with specified people or groups, shared only inside certain networks, or another combination of public and private domains. The allowed people can usually view these bookmarks chronologically, by category or tags, or via a search engine.
As these services have matured and grown more popular, they have added extra features such as ratings and comments on bookmarks, the ability to import and export bookmarks from browsers, emailing of bookmarks, web annotation, and groups or other social network features.

seminar IV. presentation: creation & stock services

Hey there. So, the internet has a lot to offer for those who need to create a presentation and there are many different kinds of software for this purpose - online and offline, simple and elaborate. The choice of course depends on the user's goal whether it's just to present information, to teach something, to promote something, to entertain, etc. Some people want their presentations to have pleasing design(like, if their topic is super-boring and they want to distract the audience with cool externals), some people want the process of creating to be quick and easy(+nice looking and for free), some people want their presentations to be customizable.
Presentation software companies are popping up everywhere these days as potential PowerPoint alternatives. Today we're going to put PowerPoint away and try something new.

seminar III / hometask.

Since I started leaning German - which proved to be full of struggles - I've been using Quizlet to prepare for all the tests. Quizlet is a great tool for students to study vocabulary words through rote memorization. There's a lot more than just flashcards on quizlet: the service can generate tests with various types of tasks. Also through Quizlet it is possible to improve writing and grammar skills. Quizlet automatically keeps track of your progress and shows you the words which you’re having difficulty remembering. When you’re on the main page of a set, you can see the full set of words and definitions and once you start practising them, they are listed according to how well you’ve remembered them

seminar II. CALL & language skills

Well, hello. Today's post will be devoted to various online resources which may be used for accelerating one's language skills. It was suggested that I checked out a bunch of websites and expressed my thoughts on them(spoiler: of course not all of them were that great). With some it turned out to be troublesome to get access to.
Also there were links to downloading programs which didin't appeal to me for 2 reasons: I don't download things from unsafe services and nobody uses skill improving computer programs anymore - it doesn't matter if those are good or not, everything is online now which is just naturally another stage of evolution, I mean it takes so much timeto intsall a program

and life is so fast today with everything reminding you that it is also very short and death is literally round the corner so you shouldn't waste your time on such things....you know. So I will only mention those sources I liked the most. Without further ado, let's get started.
